Ingredients
- 1.25 lb Ground beef, pork or Lamb
- 5 oz Pancetta (optional)
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 Yellow onion (finely chopped)
- 2 Garlic cloves (minced)
- ½ tsp Dried oregano
- 2 sprigs Thyme (stems removed)
- 2 tbsp Tomato paste
- 3 cups Passata (tomato sauce)
- 1 cube Beef stock dehydrated
- Salt and pepper
- 1 lb Dried spaghetti
- Grated parmesan for serving
- Parsley or basil
Directions
- Using the Fusion Master Mincer with fine mincer disc, mince chosen meat and pancetta into a medium bowl.
- Heat oil in the Universal Cookware 4L Stockpot over medium heat. Add onion, garlic and minced meat. Cook for 2-3 min. until meat has browned.
- Add herbs, tomato paste, passata, beef stock cube, salt and pepper. Bring sauce to a boil, reduce heat to low and allow to simmer for 20 min. or until sauce has reduced.
- While sauce is simmering, add spaghetti to the Microwave Pasta Maker, add water to corresponding water level and microwave for 15 min. at 1000 watts. Allow to rest for 4 min., drain and stir through 1 ladle full of the sauce.
- Serve pasta with Bolognese sauce, top with Parmesan and fresh parsley or basil.
TIP:
- Make it vegetarian! Use vegetarian mince, 800 g / ±28 oz canned lentils or 1 kg / ±2.2 lb sliced button mushrooms.
- Stirring a ladle of sauce through allows the pasta to loosen and avoids it from sticking together!
