DESCRIPTION

Top food scientists from the University of Florida and Tupperware have extensively researched the storage of fruits and vegetables to develop a line of intelligent containers.​

The Tupperware® ACE (Atmosphere Controlled Environment) system creates the optimal environment to keep fruits and vegetables fresh longer.

FridgeSmart® Containers use this special three-way venting system to help regulate the atmosphere inside the container by balancing the flow of oxygen coming in and carbon dioxide going out according to the different 'breathing' conditions of various fruits and vegetables.

Slider can be used in 3 different positions:

• Half Open: When the slider tab is aligned with the half circle on the pictogram, the small opening in the seal is open for light venting.​
• Closed: When the slider tab is aligned with the fully etched circle in the middle of the pictogram, both openings in the seal are closed.​
• Fully Open: When the slider tab is aligned with the hollow, glossy circle on the pictogram, the big opening in the seal is open for full venting.​

In addition:

• The handy produce chart to identify the venting slider position is printed within the layers of the container so it won’t fade or wash off over time.
• The lid has a tab for easy opening.
• The built-in grid at the bottom of the base keeps contents away from moisture and ensures air circulation around food.
• When they're not in use, they can nested for compact storage, even between different sizes.

FridgeSmart® Small Deep, with a capacity of 1.75-Qt./1.8L, can keep fruits and vegetables such as:
bean sprouts, beetroot, Brussels sprouts, fresh herbs, ginger, green beans, Jerusalem artichokes, kohlrabi, lemons or limes, mushrooms, peas, radishes, turnips, white or red grapes, and more.

FridgeSmart® Medium, with a capacity of 1.75-Qt./1.8L, can keep fruits and vegetables such as:
asparagus, bean sprouts, beetroot, blueberries, Brussels sprouts, carrots, celery, cherries, chili peppers, figs, fresh herbs, ginger, green beans, Jerusalem artichokes, kohlrabi, leeks, lemons or limes, mushrooms, bok choy, peas, radishes, raspberries, rhubarb, spring onions, strawberries, turnips, white or red grapes, zucchini…

To prevent additional condensation, do not place containers against the walls of your fridge.

How to clean

• Clean and dry your product before first use.
• All parts of the FridgeSmart® are dishwasher safe.
• It is not necessary to remove the slider each time you wash and dry the seal. 
• Dry the inside of the container thoroughly before each use.
• Dry well before nesting the FridgeSmart® when not in use.
• Use a low temperature program on your dishwasher to save energy and protect the environment.

How to assemble the slider

• Always place the slider in the middle, aligning the slider tab in closed venting position.
• Hold the seal with one hand, close to the slider to support it. Push the slider into the seal with your other hand.
• Make sure that the hooks of the slider are completely pushed through so that they snap nicely over the edge.

How to disassemble the slider

• Removing the slider should always be done from the inside of the seal. 
• Do not pull the slider out from the outside of the seal, this could damage the seal.
• Always position the slider in the middle. This position is indicated by 2 arrows, engraved on the inside of the seal.
• Hold the seal with one hand, close to the slider to support the area. Push out the slider with the thumb of your other hand, or
  Hold the seal with both hands. Push out the slider with the thumbs of both hands at the same time.
• It is not necessary to remove the slider each time you wash and dry the seal. 

How to store when not in use

• Always store unsealed to prevent accumulation of humidity inside the base, which could create mold.
• Bases nest comfortably together for optimal space savings.
• When nesting containers of different heights, place taller containers into flatter containers.

Vegetables belonging to the same venting category can be stored together.
